BJ works as a records specialist for the Chatham County Courts. His responsibilites include researching information as requested, navigating and retriving files and documents from the records housing facility, and deliverying them to the proper person. BJ has worked in this position since 2010 loves his job, adding that he, “thanks God every day for this opportunity.”

Tameka is a shipping clerk for the Savannah Candy Kitchen. She started in July of 2011 and was counted among the most productive employees during the Christmas shipping rush. Tameka says that she enjoys her work but her favorite part of the job is the people that she works with.

Johnnie operates a commercial sweeper in the IKEA distribution center. In addition, he maintains the equipment log book and is learning to do some of the routine cleaning and maintenance on his machine. Since Johnnie started a little over a year ago, IKEA has seen a reduction in both machine down-time and repair costs. Johnnie enjoys his job and has made many friends since joining the IKEA team.

Roesha is a graduate of project Search and has worked at Candler Hospital since April of last year as a coordinator in the equipment and supply department. She is known for her optimistic outlook, sunny disposition, and hard work. In fact, the positive effect Roesha has on those around her led one of Roesha’s associates to describe her as a “life changer.”

When the call went out for nominations for the Night of Champions, Antonio received several nominations from the customers he serves in his position as a courtesy clerk at the Kroger at Berwick.
Antonio has worked at Kroger since 2005. When he saw the store at Berwick being built, he knew that was where he wanted to be.
